At Best Impressions Family Dentistry we treat patients of a wide age range. We want people to start practicing good oral health at a young age, so we start to see children about six months after they get their first tooth. It is important to maintain oral health for a lifetime, so we are equipped to treat patients at every phase of their life.
Our office provides a wide range of services to patients. Preventive procedures such as exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments are designed to prevent cavities and/or detect them as early as possible. Restorative procedures designed to bring teeth back to healthy function include fillings, root canals, crowns, implant restorations, and partial or complete dentures. This can be done with very natural looking aesthetics. Cosmetic services are procedures that are done to enhance the appearance of teeth. These can be as simple as bleaching or can also include more advanced procedures such as veneers. Emergency procedures to manage acute dental pain are some of the treatments we provide.
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
At Best Impressions Family Dentistry, the time scheduled for your dental appointment is yours alone. Consequently, when an appointment is canceled, especially at the last minute, our entire practice is affected. We understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable, but the scheduling time lost is costly to any practice.
We utilize emails and text messaging to remind you of upcoming appointments. A reminder is sent two weeks prior to your appointment so that you may choose to reschedule if needed. And on the day before your appointment, an additional email and/or text message is sent, allowing you to confirm the appointment by email or a return text message response.
Since we schedule our routine exams and cleanings six months in advance, it can be difficult to reschedule an appointment on short notice. We strive to provide the very best dental care to all of our patients and ask that you make changes to your appointment dates as soon as possible.
We value your time…please offer the same respect by giving at least one full business day of advanced notice when you need to cancel an appointment so that we can offer that time to other patients.
Note: Parents bringing in two or more family members at the same time will be restricted from scheduling a double or triple appointment after missing one such appointment for multiple family members.
Thank you for your courtesy.
Our office gladly accepts most dental insurance. We want to help you understand your insurance plan so that you can attain maximum benefits from it. Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t pay for everything. Therefore, we have payment options available, including care credit and iCare Financial, so that you can get the treatment you need.
Dr. Dannegger is a member of both the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. In order to get more information about a specific procedure, both of these organizations have accurate reliable information. The links to their websites are:
We are happy to be able to offer porcelain crowns that can be done in a single visit using Cerec CAD/CAM. This procedure to restore a tooth back to function and esthetics when badly broken or decayed can be completed now without a mouthful of impression material, without a temporary, and without a second visit. The porcelain crowns are made in office with CAD/CAM technology and have results equivalent to lab made crowns with much superior convenience.
Teeth that have cavities can often be restored with a composite, tooth colored filling material. These fillings often blend with the natural tooth and can almost disappear. These fillings can be done on either front or back teeth. For those who aren’t concerned about the esthetics, or for other considerations, silver fillings are also available if you choose.
Whether you are in need of your regular “cleaning” or you have gum disease (gingivitis or periodontitis) our hygienists are able to help you make and keep the gums healthy. Brushing and flossing is of utmost importance at home, but regular check-ups and “cleanings” keep you on track and remove plaque, tartar, and stain that you can’t clean adequately at home.
We treat patients of all ages. We see children as young as age 1. We like to start seeing children early for “Happy Visits” so that we can get them accustomed to coming to the dental office. We want those first visits to be easy and comfortable so that kids gain confidence in coming to the dentist.
We have a couple different bleaching options available. It can be done as an in-office procedure in about 30 minutes with Sinsational Smile, or as a take home procedure with a tray system that allows you to bleach at home at your convenience. Both work and both have their pros and cons. Ask us about bleaching and we’ll help you determine which system is best for you.
We work with several different specialists to get your implants placed. Once the healing is complete we can restore those implants with whatever is needed, whether it be a crown, bridge, or denture. Implants are very successful and an excellent restorative option.
A full or partial denture is a viable alternative to replace missing or badly damaged teeth. They can restore function as well as esthetics. We take pride in making them look realistic and fit comfortably.
A root canal is a procedure done to the nerve of a tooth that allows a painful and/or badly decayed or infected tooth to be saved. After the nerve is treated and the tooth is feeling better, the tooth often needs a crown to restore the tooth back to normal function and esthetics.
Sometimes there is no alternative and a tooth has to be removed. We can do this for you and then discuss options to restore the missing tooth or teeth with implants, bridges, or partials.
Nitrous oxide or laughing gas is available to make your visit a bit less stressful. It is designed to help alleviate anxiety for dental appointments. Ask us about it if this is an issue for you.
A local anesthetic reversal is available that can make your mouth feel back to normal in about an hour as opposed to the up to 6 hours that it can take for the anesthetic to wear off on its own. That means you can go about your normal day, without lingering numbness, much more quickly. It is now available at Best Impressions Family Dentistry, so ask us about it. You can also find more information at www.oraverse.com.
A mouthguard can be beneficial for a wide variety of sports and is a requirement in some sports like football. Mouthguards work best when they fit well and that is why we offer custom fitted mouthguards from Under Armour. There are a variety of options and colors and can be personalized with names and numbers.
